UAE residents, whose residence visa expired as a result of
staying outside the country for more than six months for work, study or medical treatment,
can apply for a entry permit to enter the UAE on same visa.
Requirements to apply for the entry permit:
To apply for a permit to enter the UAE by a resident staying
outside the UAE for over 6 months, the applicant must:
1.
Submit the application from
outside the country.
2.
Apply request after 180
days of staying outside the country.
3.
Provide a valid reason to
justify being outside the country for more than 180 days.
4.
Pay a fine of AED 100 +
service fee for every 30 days or less spent outside the country.
5.
The remaining period of
residence must be more than (30) days when submitting the application.
How to Apply for the Entry Permit:
To apply for a permit for entering the UAE after staying
outside for over six months visit ICP UAE official website, look for public
services > Residents
Outside the UAE > click start service or click below link to auto redirect.
Once you are on the
ICP form filling page, do the following:
1.
Fill applicant information
including Name, Nationality and Passport details.
2.
Upload attached documents
including reason letter, passport, Emirates ID or visa page.
3.
Review application, pay the
fees
4.
Submit application and wait
for the confirmation email.
General Information (Terms & Condition):
- When the application is approved, the applicant must enter
the country within 30 days starting from the approval date. - If the person is sponsored by an establishment, the
application can be submitted either by the person or by the establishment. - Fine fees can only be refunded if the application is
rejected. - This Service does not include residents of the Emirate of
Dubai. - Golden and Green Residency holders are not required to apply
for this service, as they can enter the country directly at any time as long as
their residency is valid.
